I also write about startups and the Australian community on my blog and on The Fetch, am listed as one of Twitter's suggested users to follow in Australia and was recently voted one of Melbourne's Top 100 Influencers for 2011 by The Age.

I have startup-related contacts in the SFBA, New York, London, Berlin, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

Not that it's as relevant but I have a Bachelor of Science from The University of Melbourne and a Masters of Business (Marketing) from RMIT University.

Why have you decided to become a PushStart mentor?

After spending some time in the Valley in '10 and '11, I often yearned for the same sense of startup culture in Australia. Upon my return, I've been impressed with the pace of change – great things are now happening here! I want to connect our cities (especially Melbourne and Sydney) so we become a serious global startup unit. I'm also passionate about balancing the ratio of women in startups and would love to share my learnings with the community.

What are the top 3 things you bring to the table as a mentor

• How to get attention and get users
• How to build a community around your startup (online and offline)
• How to produce and execute your content strategy
